In conversation / Codex podcast on food hygiene standards setting, with CCFH co-Chairs
In the runup to the 54th session of the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene (CCFH54), the Codex Secretariat has spoken with the Chairperson, Dr Evelyne Mbandi and co-Chairperson, Professor George Ooko Abong in a new podcast now online.
In the podcast, the co-Chairs speak about the importance of CCFH and the work that will be covered by this meeting, which will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, 11-15 March 2024 – just the second time CCFH has been co-hosted in Africa. As this is the first meeting to be chaired by Dr Mbandi, she talks about her chairing style, how she intends to ensure she listens to delegates in a drive towards consensus building, and Professor Ooko Abong underscores the significance of meeting in Kenya, which, with this meeting, is “welcoming the world to Nairobi”.
