Virtual Training for the Implementation of HACCP in Fisheries and Aquaculture in Spanish

Jun 1, 2025
Virtual Training for the Implementation of HACCP in Fisheries and Aquaculture in Spanish

A deep understanding of the hazards associated with fishery and aquaculture products is essential for the effective implementation of a HACCP system. This knowledge helps reduce reliance on traditional end-product testing, favoring a more effective and preventive approach to food safety management in production and processing facilities.

Following the successful English webinar in October 2024, which attracted over 1,400 participants, we are pleased to announce a 3-day Spanish-language webinar.

The webinar will provide guidance on how to identify food safety hazards related to fisheries and aquaculture and explain how to establish the foundation for implementing a prerequisite and HACCP system in the fisheries and aquaculture sector. The FAO GHP and HACCP toolbox, as well as key Codex Alimentarius texts, will also be presented.

This joint event is organized and presented by FAO's Fisheries and Aquaculture Divisions and the Agrifood Systems and Food Safety Division, with valuable contributions from the Codex Secretariat and other technical experts.

The webinar will take place from June 23 to 25, 2025, 15:00 CEST.
