AMR Farmyard and the Fishmonger
AMR Farmyard
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a One Health issue. When it comes to foodborne AMR, containment requires the commitment of stakeholders all along the food chain, from the farmer and his or her co-workers at production level, to processors, distributors, suppliers, policymakers, and others.
The AMR Farmyard has ten characters, each of whom has a role to play in the containment of AMR. Listen to the farmer's story and then select a character to learn more from an expert and from a practitioner about the role of that character in AMR containment.
The AMR Farmyard includes videos, a quiz and a selection of tools and resources that can support someone who works in that role to better understand AMR and to work to limit its spread.
The Fishmonger
Fish and fishery products can be vulnerable to food safety hazards in all sorts of ways. Yet, when you go to the fishmonger, you can be quite sure her products are safe. Why? Because this Fishmonger ensures she and all her suppliers implement relevant Codex standards. When Codex standards have been applied all along the food chain, food is safe.
Select one of the Fishmonger's products to learn more about the hazards that product can be exposed to and the science developed by FAO that informs Codex standards that makes your fish dinner safe to eat. Science leads to standards, which leads to safe food.
