Codex and IDF webinar to discuss use and impact of the General Standard for the Use of Dairy Terms

As part of the celebrations for the 120th anniversary of the International Dairy Federation (IDF) and the 60th anniversary of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC), the IDF Standing Committee for Standards of Identity and Labelling (SCSIL) and the Codex Secretariat are organizing the webinar “Implementing Codex Standards: case studies on the General Standard for the Use of Dairy Terms (GSUDT)”.
IDF launched a survey in 2022 among its members on how the GSUDT has been implemented at national and/or regional levels. This webinar will present the work IDF has done to capture these data and present three case studies from countries that implemented the GSUDT through different approaches and means of adaptation to their legislative frameworks.
This webinar will be moderated by Sarah Cahill, Senior Food Standards Officer of the Codex Secretariat, with the participation of Raj Rajasekar, CAC Vice-chairperson, and Caroline Emond, IDF Director-General, and several experts sharing experiences firsthand on the use and impact of Codex Standards.
